FAS to Combat Python

Has anyone recently shifted from an A level FAS to A level combat Python?

Did you feel like a powerful but beached Orca?

Did you notice the firepower difference against larger ships?

Did hunting in it change your attitude with Conda targets when solo, assuming only you used to wait till other ships ganged up on it?

Did you notice a difference with its shields?

If a wing of 5 railgunning eagles show up, are you at their throats right here and now?

Funnily enough, I moved the other way, and still own both.

My Python is PvE capable, multi-role, only carrying 160t cargo. It's worth circa 150,000,000.

The FAS? It's a dedicated combat ship worth circa 90,000,000. It is made for fighting and is better at it.

Oh, I don't spam SCB's, and come 1.5/2.0, neither will anybody else. ;)

Are you going to visiting planets in Horizons? If you are definately get something lighter! I just took my FAS to a mid-sized planet and it litteraly flew like a brick. It barely reached orbit after take off (I went straight up and it stalled) and you had to point the nose up and boost just to stop it going slpat, and thats only at 1g :D

I went the other direction, had a fully fit python (it's in a hangar now) and fly the FAS more than anything. The increased time on target in the FAS and ability to get in and out of combat, plus the fact that it flies like a dream...can't get away from it. Who cares if shields go down, mil spec armor, a couple chaff launchers, the shields are just there to let me know it's time to ram again.

Went from Python to FAS. The Python feels more like an armed and armored trade ship then a multirole that can fight.
Its like comparing the Defiant vs Voyager, if you want a star trek example.

Never wateched any Star trek but i will google those two ships to see
