How bizarre. There are enough of them - and with otherwise generic enough names, and spread out randomly across the bubble, and in systems where the other assets have perfectly normal names - that it seems likely to be a name in the random naming database.

On a quick check of Wikipedia I can't find "Sandra Mussolini, moderately famous 19th century biochemist with a now really unfortunate surname" or similar who it might have got that name into the database accidentally, but since Frontier generally avoids using politicians for station naming in general (a few exceptions inherited from FE2/FFE aside) I can't imagine it comes from the more famous one so there's probably one somewhere.

(Frontier should fix that, obviously)

A ststion named after Eddie Hitler (on the left, wonderfully played by Ade Edmondson, described as a "cheerfully violent alcoholic") would be fine, surely.

just because the game has a name of a famous person in it does not mean its promoting, endorsing or otherwise associated in any way with that person or real world activities. Stop trying to cancel everything.

Not exactly station names, but a few days ago i stumbled upon an NPC ship named "Mia Khalifa"

They seem too generic to be a usernamed station and there are quite a few of them. The naming database just generate some funny names at times.

That's a nice gameplay opportunity to go there and wreck havoc in the systems if against it, put them in lockdown etc, isn't it? I mean plenty of communist systems as well, theocracies, dictatorships, everything.

In the old days, my BGS Corvette had a 3 billions bounty from doing stuff like that, but unfortunately Frontier crippled this gameplay when they changed back bounties from ship to commander again.. Still have the bounty hehe..

There's an FC in Kruger 60 called "frontier go **** yourself"
Allowing custom names with no checks in place means cndrs will push the boundaries of what is acceptable

Perhaps the issue is people making vague complaints on forums instead of raising a specific complaint via support.

To OP: genuinely if this is bothering you, raise it with FDev.

And other commanders can complain. There's one less "joke" about Aisling Duval in the universe now because I reported an FC name.

Not if you're a German citizen. That's because the German government thought about these things and did want the modern population wanted. I don't know why everyone on this thread thinks FDev have time to make the perfect block list for names that will be the best choice for a random population of players taken from a diverse population of eight billion people with Opinions.

FDev do have a policy of listening to complaints like this, so... raise a ticket.

Does seem weird nobody in the design team though of this particular example though, I gotta say, because even though Mussolini's fourth son does happen to be a jazz musician, ain't nobody seeing these station names gonna know that or indeed care.
