fast docking

i see a lot of people pootling around in docking bays, often very slowly. i don't know how often it is that these are actually players because i rarely bother scanning, but do other people find it hard to dock/get into the docking bay? i can usually request docking, approach station, zoom in and land in under a minute, usually doing the entire thing at maximum possible speed

just the station i'm sitting at now this guy keeps flying in and bumping into things and the station destroys him, is it really that hard to dock?

i saw an auto-dock equipment too, anyone actually use that? seems kind of plebian as an equipment

I love auto-dock... plays nice music too :) However, it DOES take a very need module slot that you may have dedicated to scanners or cargo.

Some people may just enjoy the view? In case you didn't know, you can tell if a ship is a player when the icon on your radar is hollow. Btw, I get the feeling you will learn soon enough that docking at max speed doesn't pay out in the long run. Anyway have your own experience. I sure learned my lessons.

The docking computer is sort of a novelty for me, I bought one used it once and it took soooooo long I stopped using it and use my fly in at an agle, slam on the breaks at the right time and you are landed perfectly in a few seconds from the doorway.
