Fastest documented time from Sol to Sagittarius A*?

What is the fastest time that has been recorded from Sol to Sagittarius A* or the reverse trip?

I have heard people say that it can be done in under 24 Hours but others say it takes a week.

What have you heard?

Exploration can be a time consuming venture. I expect optimizing travel times would be of interest to most explorers. So I wouldn't be surprised if others have already experimented with optimizing the speed of travel over great distances (10000Ly+).

If you played non-stop and did it in a 36 LY Asp, you could possibly do it in 22.5 hours. But that's without taking a single break from the constant hyperspace grind. So realistically its around 30 hours if you really really want to get there ASAP with at least some semblance of sanity intact. :)

You can make a game of it. Go to Sag A and see how long it takes you. Then turn around and try to beat that time.

Those Guinness World Record people will be ringing your doorbell soon enough.

My Asp jump range is a little over 27ly. I have dabbled with speed runs using fastest routes, and calculated an average of 1000ly every 41.5 minutes. That is passive scooping as I pass a star and intended scooping every 4-6 jumps when I fill to the top.

Depending on the route you travel, scoopable star density and so on, I reckon it can be done as a round trip in 24 hours but you would have to be seriously dedicated. No stopping time at Sag A to admire the views, no detours and only detail scans whilst you wait to refuel.

I am currently 3000ly from Sag A. I am considering a speed run all the way back because there seems to be quite a lot kicking off in populated space. Elite racing, give away graphics cards and more conflicts. I think 15 hours back is achievable, might live stream it lol.

Plan to return to Sag A again anyway so a slower trip will be on the cards then.

Full tilt I can cover 2,000ly per hour - That would be just under 14 hours - Would I play non stop for 14 hours ?

NO! Never! :D
