Fastest routes not working?

With the latest patch I've noticed the 'fastest route' button in the galaxy map navigation pane doesn't work. When entering the map it defaults to economical route, and switching to fastest route makes no difference. Anyone else have this?

I had it earlier but when I tried later I switched to fasted before pltting the route and it worked, it seems it only fails when you already have a route and then try to switch for the fast variant.
