Fastest way to RANK up?

Since this new update on Xbox. Aquiring rank is a lot slower. It seems I get 1, maybe 2% after each quest. I'm not even a high rank(Cadet in the Fed). Is there a more reliable way to rank up? I'm getting tired of doing fetch quests worth very little rep.

The old guides are now out of date in 2.1

You have to do missions, charity ones now are rare or very expensive.

It may be able to stack missions to a certain degree...

You can still stack charity missions (usually at Tun) but where as it used to cost approx 10mil to buy your rank up to Rear Admiral, it would now cost closer to 150-200 mil.

If you don't mind essentially giving away the cost of a corvette just to get a rank, it's definately still possible and probably still the quickest way.

So missions are the only way to rank? That's unfortunate, early players got a huge advantage with charity mission cheese. Now ranking up is agonizingly slow...

This is exactly why I b-lined Duke before the patch dropped. I'm very glad that I did.

Now I just need a few hundred million more credits to afford a decently speced Cutter.....
