FastPass Lane

I wish they would add a Fast Pass Lane or some upsell lane so people can skip the line a la Disney or Dorney Park. It could be another revenue generator for the park, and make it more realistic. Also along these lines making the rides ADA accessible and having guests that are ADA so people can relate to themselves in the park.

I think single rider should come first. I see some many individual guests walking around, but my trains keep leaving with several single seats open. And fastpass should be added because it's in real life; however, fastpass and single rider queues should be optional...

I would love to see this: it would be an excellent area for extra revenue and ensuring maximum return for your ride.

I'd love to see a fastpass option... Even though I know they probably won't consider it.

It's not like it has to be required for you to use or anything.. If you don't want to make a fastpass line, then simply don't build one. But some people want to make a 1-to-1 scale replica of parks like Magic Kingdom or Islands of Adventure... And this would have to come with a fastpass line. It would be a lot of fun for those kind of players. Especially if it's possible to make guests charge for buying fastpasses like they do for Carowinds or Universal.

Or being able to make a second queue (Fast-pass) but only for the front seats.
You see this a lot that the front seats are reserved for people who want to pay more.

For me the things I wish to have in Planet Coaster are the things I always really wished I could have while I was playing RCT3. Fastpass and single rider queues are some of those things so I really hope they will consider it. I spend as much time on my queues as I do on the rides themselves so it's quite important to me.

+1 to this.

They're always talking about being able to make theme parks as realistic as possible... Fastpass lanes are in a MAJORITY of parks. A list...

Disney Parks - Fastpass/Fastpass +
Universal Studios - Express Pass
Sea World - Quick Queue
Busch Gardens - Quick Queue
Six Flags - GO FAST Pass/THE FLASH Pass
Carowinds - Fast Lane
Kings Dominion - Fast Lane
Dollywood - Timesaver

Another thing that could be added to this whole concept idea is the use of either...

1). A fastpass Purchase Booth

2). fastpass ticket booths located close to an attraction. (You could assign which attraction the ticket booths are for by clicking on them.)

Or if they wanted to go above and beyond... Make it optional for you to put either or in your park! :)

I think that, considering how many people have brought this up in various places, fast pass and single rider will be added in time. Basically, all we need is to have the option to do three things:
1) Make separate queues that merge together at a station or boarding point (if you have several sims for a flat ride like star tours for example, hence why I say 'boarding point')
2) Label what ride your queue connects to and what kind of queue it is (so you decide if it is either standby, single rider, or quick queue)
3) Not exactly needed for fast pass per-se, but still necessary for proper queues in general: the ability to merge and fork queues. I mentioned Star tours: the standby line and fastpass lines merge in the boarding hall and then guests go to one of six simulators. SIX simulators... If you want to increase your flat ride capacity in PC, you have to make a new queue for each one and that's not realistic...

And keep in mind: all of this extra queue stuff would be optional - an additional feature you have to go out of your way to use like mix master in RCT3. So the casual player can just build a standby queue and be done with it in 2 min if they want to.

Very well said.

The only thing I see being a bit complex to program is the single rider line... But fastpass should be a breeze if they manage to create a "merge" point in queue lines... With some kind of worker stopping the regular queue waiters to let the fastpass people in.

I don't think single rider should be particularly difficult to implement. As long there is some way of merging queues then it will work great. I think the whole reason that we currently have to place a "ticket booth" is something to do with the fact that queues are going to become more complex. At the moment they seem to serve no purpose but I think they will, in time.

By merging queues though, I'd imagine you mean directly at the loading station. Because it wouldn't make sense for a single rider queue to merge into the standby queue... A single rider queue normally involves going directly to the loading station and waiting to see if there are any empty seats?

Yes, sorry, I do mean that. I think it would either be a queue merge directly at the entrance to the ride or there would be a separate entrance gate for single riders. My point about the ticket booth is that I imagine the single ticket booth will mark the start of the queue and therefore we have a distinct entry point to all of the queue so that we can split it off in all directions. The single rider queue (and fastpass) would either have it's own ticket booth or would be split just inside the main one.

Ah, but here's the tricky part about single rider lines: what about preshows? Rock 'n' Roller Coaster has fastpass and standby merge in the room before the preshow, but before those lines move forward there is a segregated ramp queue leading to a third door to the preshow. The single riders are sent forward to wait on the ramp and an employee closes the ramp off with a chain once they've moved forward. Then the fastpass line and standby lines go forward and wait outside the preshow and then there's the only two lines in the launching room: single rider and standby/fastpass.

As long as you can make queue forks and merges with the ability to resume a line after a sort of queue "joint" then that should work.
