I hope we get customized Avatars in some expansion eventually. I got used to the Avatar, but his small size, tiny hands, love handles, lacking crotch and toe shoes were highly irritating to me at first.
I would be surprised if we don't get to customize our avatars once the "walking around" stuff is released.
I love this thread, have some rep because it's a good point! People have different body types, healthy or not. Genetic diversity is important!
Obviously not a huge priority, but I really hope that once they start including features where we can walk around, we'll be able to customize our characters a bit more. like, the scene in their little launch video, when the door opens up, a bunch of different sized people!
Also realize... we're basically truckers. Most of our job is just sitting in a chair. Being a pilot isn't /necessarly/ the most intense thing in the world. Then again, that depends on if you're figuring the ship's accelerations into play, because in Elite, the ships accelerate (in normal space mind you, not considering supercruise) with enough Gs to make most people pass out, just by tapping the throttle a bit.
