My first dog was a blue Merle Australian shepherd. Therefore Aussies have a special place for me.
2 of the 4 dogs of my life have been doodle mixes. 2nd dog was an aussiedoodle, 3rd dog was a Carrie blue terrier (we honestly thought he was a poodle) and my current is a mini berniedoodle. Doodle dogs also have a special place for me and due to my allergies, they have been convenient for me.

I got to be honest the more I learn about vet med the less I want/ like purebred breeds. Each one almost looks to be a walking medical bill, which I know is an over exaggeration.

Now if we are talking based on aesthetics alone? I love the Saint Bernard!

I like all dogs. We had Poodle, German Shepherd and Golden Retriever as family dogs when I was a kid and my parents had several mixed breeds from shelters since.

But the first dog I have on my own is a Shiba Inu, so I am going with that. I love my little fox. It is totally different mentality than other breeds, very independent and quite a challenge, but generally fun to be around.

I’m not much of a pet person at this point of my life. I don’t have much free time as a college student. That being said, I really love xoloitzcuintlis, or just xolos. They’re a Mexican hairless breed. I’ve been fascinated by them after first seeing Dante the xolo in the Pixar movie Coco.
