Favorite Ship

Simple enough topic. Post your favorite small, medium and large ship. If needed, use https://coriolis.edcd.io for size reference.

My choices:

Small - Vulture. Tough, maneuverable, can survive in the harshest of combat environments.

Medium - Tie. FDL for anything combat related, Python for everything else.

Large - The one, the only, Anaconda. Versatile, decent jump range, SLF launching, SRV carrying delight to fly.

*sigh*

But that is so EASY.

That's more like posting what ships are the BEST ships and not favorite ship.

Personally i prefer the Eagle. Fast, maneuverable, plenty of hardpoints and is smexy.

Mine is easy due to my limited fleet. (mostly small)

Small: DBX - its a fun little ship and a great jump range
Medium: Keelback - its the only one I have but does have a SLF so that makes it great! (on my old XBOX acc I did have a FAS which I thought was great but that account has gone)
Large: Type 7 - again the only large ship I have also the only one I have flown.

I do want to get a FDL and Python to add to my medium fleet one day but not sure on Large ships

Difficult as I like a lot of ED ships!

Small; the Viper

Medium; I like Fed ships but it'd be hard to pick a favourite probably the Gunship, the Python I like as well but it's too good at everything when engineered

Large; It'd be the Conda a superb all rounder

Small: Love small ships so this is the toughest category for me. Probably the Dolphin (though sometimes the iCourier depending on the mood)

Medium: FAS. Other ships are fun, but when I want to go take down a corvette this is what I go with.

Large: Orca. Because it make that fasten your seat belt "boing" sound when you boost.

small: Eagle Mk II ... favorite ship in the game
medium: Asp Explorer probably ... maybe Python.
large: Corvette

• Small: Cobra mk3 – the classic, and my starter ship, I keep going back to it

• Medium: Python – engineering solves the nerf, and perhaps the most versatile ship in game (ok, you can make a case for the Anaconda, but it needs a large pad)

• Large: Corvette – I don't like flying large ships in general, but for CZ SLF fun the Corvette is a monster (the Anaconda would be my choice "peaceful" stuff, but the bad handling in supercruise kills it for me, jump range be damned)

Small - Cobra IV ... shaddup, I like it! :p

Medium - Python ... it's like slipping into a nice comfortable pair of shoes ;)

Large - Cutter ... it's big and feel the drift

Small: Imperial Eagle Super fast (engineered 2A thrusters), agile, looks awesome, sounds awesome. For running boom data missions to rank up with fed/emp

Medium: Asp Explorer Fast, long jump range, plenty of cargo slots, multifunctional. I use this for 99% of my missions, totally awesome and the best all-rounder in the game IMHO.

Large: Anaconda Long jump range, tons of slots, good weapons. I never use it so it is collecting dust somewhere. Large ships are for noobs.

I'd substitute the FDL for the Large ship as my 3rd favorite, but it is a medium sized ship.

Small - Cobra mk III - and probably my favourite ship

Medium - Python - I just engineered the FSD and thrusters and it's so much better than before, and it was already good.

Large - I don't own a large ship and don't really plan to so.... pass

I haven't flown many ships at this time in ED. I've got about 6 of them, and I've had probably 8 - having sold a couple because I didn't like them. My favourites so far in their categories would be:

Small - Cobra MkIV (unpopular choice, but I like the extra hardpoint and it is serving me well as a pirate ship)

Medium - Python (It's the ship I've put by far the most work into as a combat ship for PvE, it's not really been tested in PvP yet properly - it is tough enough to run away from at least an Anaconda, another Python and a Corvette firing at it all at once. But it's not tough enough to take on a Corvette 1v1... or, rather, I'm not good enough. The ship is probably perfectly capable). It was a close one between this and my Asp X, which I have also fine-tuned for exploration just the way I like it.

Large - Beluga Liner (An absolute joy to fly, and completely ridiculous to smuggle criminals around in. I am satisfied with the work I've put into it; to see it go from an overheating useless mess to being something I actually get urges to fly because I enjoy it so much, is a good payoff)

I started in a Cobra mk3 and went to an Imperial Clipper*. I've dallied with other ships but I keep coming back to them.

Small - Cobra mk3.
Medium - never flown one (edit: is the Asp Explorer a medium ship? If so I use one of them to do tourist work, so it would have to be that, but only due to not using others of medium size).
Large - Imperial Clipper.

*Yes, Imperial, not i, Clipper. That would be an Apple product - no thanks :)

Small - Imperial Eagle (Don't ask me why, I just like it.)

Medium - Imperial Clipper (I would still consider it medium, even if it uses a large pad.) Medium pad - Python (How boring... and awesome at the same time!)

Large - Imperial Cutter (For everything except all day combat and long distance exploring (more than 5000 lys).)
