Favourite use of the new class slot

I like to use it for a 1A fuel scoop, not much use for actualy fuel scooping in the larger ships but it does mean I can use the neutron star boosts...

Well that is novel !

I simply cannot get my head around someone wanting to travel via neutron stars without an ability to refuel fast at fuel stops. You must be carrying a very large spare tank ! :D

Personally, I'm carrying a Supercruise Assist Module ... improves my star jumping experience slightly, and puts me in orbit around planets worth probing.

No, 99% of my journeys can be done on a single fuel tank, if they're longer than that I then I swap in a bigger scoop, can't quite bring myself to wait 30 minutes to refuel :D
 
On tradingships it is the SCA
on combatships its a thermal HRP
other ships its detailed surface scanner, DC, FSI or anything what i need for the job.
 
in the bubble advanced docking computer. on my exploration ship cargo rack so I can finally carry 2x AFMUs, repair limpet controller, and space for a couple of limpets if the need arises. on my combat ships another HRP/GMRP as necessary.
 
yea, starting to like SCA in my engineering materials ships and in taxis
dc/adc in traders/passengers
hrp in combat ships.
 
1B collector limpet freeing up a class 3 slot that housed a 3B collector when i'm mission running, letting me add guardian shield reinforcements.

when in battle its fitted with an AFM for emergency repair.

Principle with MRPs:
3 maxes out protection to 94% deflecting module damage to the biggest MRP. So one big MRP for hit points and 2 small ones for deflection maxing.

Not used it yet as I am yet to dock anywhere that sells something I want to use. Currently travelling from the Core to Colonia. Will probably add a research/science drone controller.
 
Depends on the ship.

Anything with an SRV gets a DSS so I can find Bio/Geo sites (and anything else) on a planet surface.
Combat ships get a 1A AFMU, just to cure those irritating malfunctions if weapons/modules end-up <80%
Cargo ships get an Advanced Docking Computer so I can plot routes while launching and shave a few seconds off each CG run.
Mining ships get an extra Collector for, erm, collecting stuff faster.
Exploration ships get a Repair Controller to help prevent them falling apart.
Cool ships get also get an Advanced Docking Computer so I can ogle them with the external camera whenever possible.

Yeah allowed me to add a size 2 CRCR and research limpet controller to my Sidewinder for DW2
