Favourite VR Cockpit?

Yes, for me:

1) Sidewinder > this is the ship that gives the most "wow" factor. Especially apparent when demoing to friends
2) Cobra > the second seat was most surprising. Esp read what I wrote months ago : https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=206271&p=3185402#post3185402
3) Imperial Eagle > wow, really felt like a fighter. Closed in, felt like every control of the ship is within reach. I would fly 100 LY jumping 10 LY/jump just to get a feel of the cockpit
4) Imperial Courier > my standard go-to cockpit
5) Imperial Clipper > What I'm currently in. Feels massive and comfortable. But I'd like to see more wood and leather. Moar leather please.

The ASP has a nice view, its a great ship, but I don't fancy the looks inside nor the sound it makes..

I agree with the others (Assetto Corsa, Elite Dangerous, Prepar3d and Euro Truck Sim are great examples) , but i'd say that my favorite is Vox Machinae (mech sim demo) . The game itself is far from polished or finished but the cockpit view is awesome.

Imperial Courier is my current fave .. great visibility and jet fightery feel...nice details as well like the light flashing next to the door behind your seat.

i love the fdl one, the imp eagle too but astonishly the sidewinder feels really good, the same goes for the srv and the 2 cqc fighters, maybe because everything is close to you ^^
i need to try my courrier now i got the vr :D

Don't like the popular choice which seems to be the Eagle, it's all flat panels and looks a bit pants for that!

I haven't gone through all the ships but for me the one that stood out is the Hauler. If I was demoing for someone else and got to choose a ship it's the one I'd show.

It's just the right size where it looks really big inside, but not so big that the scale becomes irrelevant. It gives this awesome sense of what VR can do. Stuff like the Conda it's so big you lose that "within reach" feel and so the [woah] impact is lessened. Not so with the Hauler with is just the right amount of big to be genuinely impressive.

Also a nice surprise when you turn around, the door is right there almost within touching distance, so you want to. :) Unlike in the bigger ships where it's say 10m away, so far it's irrelevant.

In VR, the smallest cockpits are the best for me, where you feel you could just touch the canopy and the consoles around you, that you're just a few cm away from space... Eagme is great, Courier too. I never got to try the small fighters in CQC beforr I sold my DK2 but I bet they're awesome in VR. I don't really enjoy the huge cockpits like the Asp. It feels like I'm in a large room with a view on space rather than in an actual cockpit.

My personal favs:
iCourier - I love the solid(?) feel of the fixed components surrounding you
iClipper - made me revert back to FA: ON! That large high front window provides a fab sense of scale especially when cruising low above planet surfaces.
Vulture - love the large FoV and the way the glass is actually quite a distance from you, perfect for those two large weapons.

Looking forward to the sense of scale from the T9! :)

Until I got VR I didn't know the Vulture had windows under the cockpit panel. That was a shock the first time I fuel scooped.

Asp for viz, but T-7 for overall feel.

For a while it was the Asp but now it is the Eagle. I have been flying around the canyons in Farseer, Deciat and lost about 6 or 7 Asp from my F/A off abilities. I decided to move into an Eagle for the cheaper rebuy and manuverability. Love the how tight the cockpit feels when your boosting through the canyons at 5 meters. It feels like a proper fighter cockpit.

For me the best one is the Sidewinder... funny but it is.. i don't know why but i love the feeling of being in that cockpit in VR.

Sad the ship is not useful in long term playing.. maybe Frontier can think about a Sidewinder MKII at some point .
