FC Odyssey Material cap is set to 100? Bug?

It is for selling and buying. Not a storage.

We will have to see if this gets adjessted. I doubt it will get much usage

I have tons of mats I don't need anymore that I wanted to be able to offload to my squadron if they need it. The 100 item limit is so low I might as well just meet up with them to drop the stuff for them.

Agreed. I'd like to see that limit increased as I can actually see players who need some of the rarer data or material types (Settlement Defense Plans, Weapon Components and Tungsten Carbide, anyone?) visiting other carriers to find a few. Only 100 items across all three collectable types is highly restrictive; at one point I had over 100 useless Power Regulators in my storage alone.

I'd also like to see a per-item cap like we have in Horizons rather than the general 1000 per subcategory while we're at it...

That extra zero went to the cost of all the Odyssey FC modules. A bit ridiculous that a bar (installation & upkeep) would have remotely the same cost as any service that affects ships.

To keep a bit of inventory in the carrier so you can setup some shop for people to get rare items, you need to have at least something like 50 per item. Only 100 for the whole shop is ridiculous and might actually sell this bar again because this is useless.

For the rest, the carrier upgrade looks fantastic.

Total 100 items per category is waaay to small.
I hope a typo is involved - someone missed a zero there.
That's not per category. That's 100 total. Period. Across all three categories. By far the most disappointing part of the update as I was intending to run a shop for engineering materials myself.

Oh, my bad *()
it's even worse 😒
in this case even 1000 is too low.

*(i had to check it personally, that big was the disbelief)

Yep, this is the one huge disappointment for me, having looked forward to it being a proper revolutionary step. I've got nigh on 3,000 items, and could quite happily sell a third of them. Doing that 100 at a time would be painful at best

Yeah, it's diabolically bad. Almost, as if they did with FC upkeep at the start, it was tuned to such a ridiculously unacceptable amount... that the community would be grateful for whatever improvement they'd give us.

While I didn't truly expect to be able to buy and sell the same material at the same time, I was secretly hoping they would update the markets with a feature to "maintain" stock so long as you always bought it for less than you were selling it at.

In my ideal world I wanted to be able to set orders for all odyssey mats for buy and sell and keep a stock of each one on hand and anyone (but probably mostly myself) could stop by my carrier and sell what they didn't need and pick up what they do need and I could take a cut of the profit for managing the services without having to log in and out of the game constantly.

Guess we have to make sure carriers can't indefinitely earn enough to cover upkeep though if the owner goes inactive, right?

Now you witness 1st hand the tosh we had to put up with when engineers was released.
It's very nice of them to make it so new players like myself, who missed the first iteration of engineering, can have a taste of it. I personally enjoy the little touch, like having previous mistakes that were corrected added back in, like the lack of trading for important materials, or the global material cap (instead of per materials).
