FD, are you serious? New Dolphin and Orca paints :(

Ok, I clamoured for paints for the Dolphin. But please, don't blame me for this.

Usually, I like what FD is bringing on. But come on, this isn't my little pony. The two-tone idea is nice, but the execution... I wouldn't want to be seen dead in that. "Cute" is the first idea that came to my mind - but I supposed this was Elite Dangerous, not Elite Digestive Biscuit.

Not good. They did a much better job with the Expedition and United packs for the Beluga. Shame really as I've liked all their recent offerings.

I kind of like it. Probably not enough to buy it though and it wouldn't really match my style of play in the game. :eek:

Seems... "sporty" to me, or something.

Why make a thread just because you don't like some colors?
What is the point?
Tastes differ. Others will like them for sure. If you don't like, then don't buy.

I think these might very well look good in the game environment itself as opposed to the somewhat sterile showroom pics of the Frontier shop.
I am not really into passenger ships like these, and would never buy skins for these ships anyway, but that is another story.
I only invest money in skins for ships I tend to use frequently.

I like Orca after the buff - just for explo and flying around, more than a-dolfin because Orca speed and better jump.

I will get that paintjob, i waited for it.

They are just passenger ships. They do not need to be scary, masked or show how big their Python is. They can just be funny or cute.
If you want to shoot to the cute orca or adolfin - i dont mind :)

There's four paint packs available for the Dolphin, two of which are aimed at the military side of things. There's the Tactical pack ( https://www.frontierstore.net/eur/game-extras/elite-dangerous-game-extras/dolphin-tactical-pack.html ) and the Military pack ( https://www.frontierstore.net/eur/game-extras/elite-dangerous-game-extras/dolphin-military-pack.html ).

Why are you so upset that the people who don't want to use the Dolphin for combat purposes also get a paint pack?

I mean, it wouldn't be my choice for a paint pack to use on a Dolphin, but other people are probably very happy with them.

Well I think they are fantastic! I love both of the Wayfarer paints released today, and I wish Frontier’s paints were more like this and less of the “vibrant” styles.

I really wish the store had better previews though, from more angles than just top down….
