FD : Cobra engine : Aliasing is it just me or what ?

That's teh good thing about console games, they just work out of the box no fiddling required.

I have feeling that XOne version will have the same AA issues ;)

But in general, yes I agree in some cases there are less issues with consoles, except you will play in 900p 30fps and no AA at all ;)

But we will see maybe E will be a superb port to XOne, but XOne does not support HOTAS I guess...

Can't wait for the XboxOne version so I can get 1080P, full surround and stuff without the arcane fiddling required to get Windows to get these things right. </controversial thing>

How do you have problems with any of these things in Windows?

If your monitor/TV doesn't report it's resolution correctly (you have a naff screen) - set it in control panel.

If you use surround sound, then you set the number of speakers in control panel...
 
I think developers see the benefits of using deffered rendering, it's not just the effects I mentioned. More and more devs are using it.
It IS a trend. But done properly, AA shaders like timed SMAA could remove most jaggies.

I strongly recommend trying out ReShade+MasterEffect with SMAA as the only effect enabled. It's better than the one in-game, and so what if the devs doesn't support it. None has so far. If it brings you any trouble (I really doubt it) just remove the damned thing. ;)

Okay, I tried to follow your advice, found the SweetFX etc. thread here and from there followed the link to Reshade. It offers me to download "Reshade+Framework" or "Reshade+SweetFX" and I have no clue which one is right now. I am going to try SweetFX in the meantime. :)

Plus, I tried the former to have a look at what this framework is, and it was a .7z file. Great. I absolutely don't wish to throw yet another utility on my machine just to open a single file. Can't we all agree to use zip?

Edit: Turns out SweetFX also comes as .7z. :(

I don't have a internet connection in my new apartment, but when I get it I can make a ReShade config with anti aliasing enabled only.
