FD seem to prefer running livestreams rather than newsletters for announcements especially at physical events like EGX, Gamescon etc. If you wish to keep up to date with developments I'd stick to the FD youtube account and watch for the short videos under 10 minutes long which generally showcase the upcoming features.

Its really not much to ask to have at least sneak peeks. How hard can it be taking a screenshot and putting it in the newsletter ? Anything to keep the hype level steady.

Thats the problem with hype as we learned from the Gamescon stream. It's a gun with a few bullets. Fire off the hype on the Beluga and great good stuff. Fire off again with a few different screenshots. Fine it's ok. Do it a 3rd time and people just say meh, seen that, what else you got.
Most of the time having something un-anounced to discover in the patch notes etc is something most people enjoy... Also it's one less thing for us all to complain about here ;)

The last few months, the newsletters have become barely worth reading.

- So I've ticked several poll options, delighted to find that I'm with the majority on most.

Which suggestion d'you think he's reading here?

^ The one about blue lasers. ;)

Thats the spirit everybody - I hope you all have fun with my, erm...er choices :/ (I didnt say poll)

I was going to put "A fine selection of FD Leather Jackets" but I didnt know how many would get the Money Island reference or take it seriously. I personally think the jackets would be a good idea, as space jockey brown leather jackets are hard to find good ones, but FD is NOT a distributor of swords, nor leather jackets for that matter.

Its too late now on a Friday evening to expect anyone of the Devs to read this, but at least we can have fun over the weekend. I ticked several boxes, but didnt select release dates and schedule because that gets changed all the time, and we will find out in good time anyway.

I liked the newsletters much better during the first year of release. Actual dev info of upcoming releases and sneak peaks. I looked forward to new issue each week. Now, they contain mostly community-generated content and community goal news that seems to be a half step behind. Also interesting but I don't find myself looking forward to them as much.

Seems like players themselves are greatly missing from this poll. Is this an error? ;)

What about, say, players bringing content to the game?...
