FD please can we have just normal crew npc's that give us a basic stats booost in their specialties.

What, like +1 to charisma? What is a stats boost? What are you asking for really, as in what is the change you hope for or the additional info you wish to see and what do you want to do with it? Your post is a little light on details (it is in fact just the post title repeated)

Like an engineered module.
Navigator = +x% FSD
Gunner = -x% jitter
Engineer = +x% power
etc etc. Maximum of three members allowed, including SLF pilot. Relatively easy to add, and creates a lot of atmosphere (plsu fills the empty chair

Seems fine with me. Actually, seems a lot better than having uniform armies of identical NPCs...
I think 2.3 is to introduce multi-crew. I know that this will most likely be a feature for multiple players in PvP and PvE, but it will be interesting to see if FD can find a way for it to be played in solo. Mind you, Wings isn't a feature that can be played in solo, so it may not be likely.
I think this can be a good idea.
