That would be well within your option, if the option suggested existed. Though be aware, you can't protect them from profanity forever, they'll come to the dark side, we have cookies.
Simple solution: Don't add the toggle to the xbone version.

Here how I looking at it. If it a family member promoting profanity. I can blame that one person. I can confront them and call the cops. Not so easy on a game. The way people write thing it easy to promote profanity plus Hate at the same time.
You might not like it. But it will not hurt the people I care for.
If you've found the filter has made a mistake with a word then report it as a bug.
If you think the game isn't "grown up" enough because it isn't letting you type naughty things then you can always get around this by scrawling your potty-mouthed words onto your monitor using a felt-tip pen.

I don't like being censored but I doubt this will ever be changed. It would have knock-on effects on PEGI ratings, etc. which just wouldn't be worth it for Frontier. Not for something that ultimately adds very little actual value to the game, in all honesty.
