Please pay close attention to the number of new accounts through this EPIC free release period. You thought you had a bot problem before, well this has the potential to create a much bigger one.

Please make sure you capture the stats from EPIC for this, and analyse them, because bot issues were raised months ago, there was no clear message from FD that you have investigated or resolved any of these issues. This free sale is the perfect moment for thousands of bot accounts to be created, and create more issues for the players, and essentially yourselves.

The bots I'm mindful of are nasty. One type phishes account details hijacking as well.
Another Is running scripts. Both are illegal and result in bans etc. That's my knowledge of this orrid subject

Bots have been known to make automated trade runs to manipulate both the BGS and Powerplay in favour of a certain power. Because FDev don't talk about any action they take against people who do this, if all of a sudden your power or player faction takes a dive for some reason, you never know if you've been outplayed by a faction or your faction has been 'botted'.

We lost even more powerplay players when one of these bot networks was found to be running for one of the powers.
