Define griefing? Blowing into virtual space dust, only one time, another player's ship clearly doesn't count as griefing.

Well, FD doesn't see that as griefing.

Being a psycho murderer is a valid play style. Who knows, there could even be a motive behind it...a long time grudge with the Fuel Rats, perhaps.

Harassing players (killing them over and over, ultimately preventing them from playing the game, at all...also includes using game exploits to negatively affect other players) is what they consider griefing and it is not permitted.

NOTE: Not supporting or attacking a definition of griefing here. Just relaying my observation of FDs treatment of these situations.

Yes... Would have been nice news had it been an example of the Crime and Punishment mechanics kicking in...

If you had read comments after the incident from the Fuel Rat involved you will have found out that he had no issue with it and didn't yell griefer. In fact he said that if he was called out to the same CMDR he would go and help him. He does a job that sometimes attracts trouble.

Player Killing in Open is not Griefing. Calling someone who blows up another player's ship griefer is wrong. Stop with this, it's pathetic and divisive.

It's not the first time this has happened, nor probably the last. However, I believe the proper response to such action is "meh." Fuel Rats have been encouraged not to give salt in such situations, since that's what gives griefers their fuel

2) It's relevant to galnet because it might have affected future Fuel Rat help.
3) No one is named, thus they do not get their name in lights.
