FD stream #1

* CQC completely separate, accessible from main menu (not from station menu as I assumed);
* Completely shared universe between XBO and PC, no crossplay though;
* Due of CQC being 'emulated' within in-game universe, it has more arcade gameplay and physics, with powerups, destroyable elements of levels;
* Federal Fighter flyable in CQC (it means we will be able to access it in main game soon enough);
* More FD streams today (tonight for UK) with potential guests up to David;
* Devs hinted that CQC was done by small team;
* Planet Coaster done by team B working on other projects than ED previously (Screamride, Amazon Android game, etc.);

Thanks for that - so CQC is more like a 'sport'? I read in that other article that it has a separate progression, where your performance in it unlocks new weapons, etc in CQC only - but that you might be able to wear some kind of CQC rank decal on your ship in the main game. Did they mention that?

I'm disappointed to hear that it's completely separate :(
Was hoping for tournaments that would appear on GalNet, and possible spectating/betting

Same here. Maybe some things will change till PC release. We will see.

Did they say that it was separate completely? Or just separate in gameplay terms - so you can't carry ships or weapons you 'buy' in CQC (or however it works) into the main game? Seems weird that there wouldn't be some acknowledgement in terms of background - we already have a Galnet post from President Hudson talking about it in game.

Yep, I was pretty much hoping for the same thing. I guess it's going to be Elite: Valkyrie.

I'm happy I get to fly a damned Condor. I'd like to see how the matches start, because if the Condors could start by being launched from Anaconda hangars along with the Sidewinders, that'd be awesome :)

There we go again with ideas and hopes... wouldn't suggest it. Almost always ends is disappointment.
