Really, I love them to bits.
They are fun, weird, outrageous and funky.
Best packs to date I think.

But...
I also would love a funky design like that, that is a bit more neutral, as I am not much of a pirate.

I will have to buy these packs anyway and fly around in pirate skins, because I think they are so incredibly well designed and just plain cool.

I agree. Funky designs are great and if we had something a bit more "normal" than pirate graffiti and onionhead, I'd use it.

I don't particularly like the pirate pack for the FdL (no interest in piracy), but I think these images you shared are some great examples of paint jobs I'd happily purchase. As of right now I'm running Golden livery on both my Anaconda & Ferdie, and have the Horus paint pack for my fleet of Asp's. Always looking out for more, though.

Yea, the Horus is getting closer, but I think Frontier could go even wilder with the designs and nobody would complain. :)

the new skins are nice but i'd really like to be able to personalise the inside of my ships , not counting bobble heads .
have a chance to choose different seat colours or some ambient lighting of sorts

Personally, I bought all Vibrant packs I could. Those are nice. I don't like the military and tactical packs all that much, because the colours are all a bit... muddled. I only bought the tactical for my T9. You know, Moby and all that.

Yes, I do think that interior customization would be much more popular than paintjobs. We're living there, after all. :)

I think I've got about $45.00 in paint for ED and I just bumped that by $7.00 for the FdL Tactical. I agree that they're a bit muddled, but they still speak to me. I really like buying paint packs, and if Fdev ever gets around to pushing some stuff like those pictures you shared I'll no doubt be spending a lot more. Plus, I' currently working my way up to buying the Cutter, and I'm sure she'll need a new coat of paint, too:)

i would like the american flag all over my cutter like the viper skin has..... would be real nice if they added in a tool to the web so we can submit skin designs and all they had to do was go threw click accept (this way there wont be male genitals everywhere) and they would be added in game for free. that way players have more fluff in game without having to fork over more and would help sell the game a bit more. right now the current way its done throws my friends away from elite. we dont mind paying for skins they design and make but would like some in game that are free.

I'd like to see some more vibrant packs, but so far none of the ones on offer really talk to me. I did in fact go ahead and (impulsively!) purchase the Tactical Pack for my beloved FdL, but haven't seen what they look like yet as it's located about 200 LY's from my current position running the Empire Rank loop between Wu Guinagi & HIP 10716 in my Asp.

The tactical graphite looks great on it. I would give you a screenie but I'm about 300 LY away from mine at the moment.

I have loads of paint packs and I'd love to see some of the paintjobs you see on the npcs in the shop, tiger stripes and all that madness. The problem with the tactical packs is that I'm invariably buying them for maybe two paints that I really like and at least two that I'll probably never use. Having said that, the tactical ice paints for both the Vulture and the Python are two of the best looking ones I've seen.

If they sold a tactical ice pack with just that skin but for every ship, I'd probably buy it.

Think the best one I've bought is the Asp Horus pack, a tenner but I like all six paintjobs in it and there's some real variety there.

Yeah, that Horus pack is awesome; I have that one, too. I'm very find of gold as well, but they're very proud of it at the shop, something like $15.00 for one skin.

It does absolutely defy belief that they don't have decal packs on sale. I have the onionhead Cobra skin which comes with decals and they're great for adding a bit of variety to my other ships paint jobs.
