Cruising the shipping lanes at the CG, I come across a low wake.

10 seconds later, a fuel rat comes in. I drop in, Eagle, obviously out of fuel.

I scan the guy, 2T of explosives. Hatchbreak him... "Target Cargo Dropped", but no cargo comes out.

Fuel rat drops in, I sit directly under the fuel rat, hatchbreaking this guy... "Target Cargo Dropped", but no cargo ever comes out.

Fuel rat thanks me for the assist. I bid the two adieu.

FD, you owe me two tons of stolen explosives, or the cash equivalent.

That was about a one in a million chance, FD. and the hatchbreaker bug ruined it. Just FYI.

In all seriousness, though, if that Eagle was without power, their cargo hatch would have been shut down and inoperable. You can bug-report the "Cargo dropped" message.

I have.... it's an instancing thing. Between it and the disappearing cargo trick.... sigh...

lol - sitting here loitering in SC, I opened the link. The thundercrash from the autoplay video scared the pizza out of me
