So, there's a very small and fun thing I've done before to breath life into a game you guys can easily let the community do for you.

I don't know how many times I've read "and don't forget... " blah blah we all know the rest. That goes for them all. I suggest the idea of making a contest, much like you're stellar screenshots, where you let the community post "ideas" of things NPC's can say. I assume you set it up write where its little more than an editable file that is a stand alone, if not it's really not to hard to fix. You can literally let the community help you come up with new things to say, forever adding to what players see, and allowing the community to directly be part of the game in a new way.

For instance, it would be nice to see instead of "you chose death, then" maybe something like "tonight, you will dance with star dust when I'm done"... I don't know.. just something fresh. The community is here and would love to help, and by effort be a part of the game. Please let us.

I’d actually like to see an xml config file similar to the override of graphics settings, where you can define this kind of stuff for personal use.

The problem would be the vetting process. And the wisdom of the crowd might not be that wise? I'd prefer a better range of available sayings that Frontiers team make themselves so it would better fit into the Elite world (hold on...wedding barge banter, 1% best cruise liner banter...!).

On second thoughts, yes please hold a community competition to help write better 'space dialogue' (y)

Not really. All we did was start at the top, the one with the most votes in a week won, provided it met within the guidelines (and to some degree the "spirit" of the game. We seldom had to review more than one or two.

That was the in-house system that got us the chat we currently have? Ok cool, well it would make a fun competition for the community and not being mean, but 'we' might be able to add some good/subjectively better ones? (if not, can the results!!!)
