Fdev and sony (Why cant we cross play)

Hi all CMDR
Its actually my first time writing something on a forum and sorry if my english have some lack (im french) so thats said, just wanna open an 'overall' question about Fdev and Sony.
We all know that console and pc players share the exact same map with everything in it whatsoever i mean markets, guardian ruins, exploration data and so on. So my question why at this point we cant just cross play with firends on different platform. That would be such amazing feature ... actually more nicest than the new fleet carrier ship (in my mind).
Thx

I believe (i am willing to be corrected) based on information on other mmos that the problem lies with sony (and microsoft on xbox) having issues with sharing with the other kiddies on PC. Also the process of implenting patches for both sony and ms are fairly extensive and therefore they can not sync the upgrades.

I dont know if Fdev actually see our post but if so if they dont wanna tell the hole situation of cross play then im just asking if it plosible do to with elite

Though cross play on consoles wouldn't really be an issue, it becomes a game breaker when PC's are allowed. Not to mention that Sony and Microsoft are not privately owned, both have investor's and as such would loose by such an event. Most generally one doesn't invest in a business that is in direct completion with their present investment. Hence all the trading on the various stock markets around the world.

I'd quite like to play with my girlfriend, who uses a PS4, and we only have one PS4. By not allowing cross-play Sony (and Frontier) have lost out on the sale of a game. Maybe we're a really small market, but I imagine right now there are a lot more households with a PC and a console than with two gaming PCs or two identical consoles.

Console gamers are noobs - why do you want to play with them?
Hardly.

I think there are far more likely hood that original Elite 1 and 2 players have a PlayStation or xbx than a gaming PC.

The noobs and juveniles are the ones on pc these days.

I'd personally much rather play with "noobs" than a triple elite who bothers to thinks in such terms.

As for the actual question.

It's possible, very much so, some games do it.

Microsoft doesn't like it, Sony doesn't like it.
Frontier has never bothered to push the matter.
Keep in mind Frontier has mostly been a talent for hire studio making games on order for Microsoft.
Making nice with Ms is how they remained a studio through the 90's and 00's.
Kinectimals is a classic Frontier game for example.

has TorTorden say there are games like bf1 that multi-platform. The Only problem i see with Xbox/ps4 vs pc is they Have is that most of the controllers have a Auto direct fire button, even if the player is slight off the target the player press that button to auto-align to the target. with was one of the Concerns with Bf1 game.

Second problem: i see is the graphics card Differ between game i not going into that fight of which is better machine they both have pros and cons.

i have the xbox, xbox 360 with this feature.
