General / Off-Topic Fdev buy out fantasy league

Given all the stupendous design decisions taken by Fdev along with the complete lack of commercial competence, I feel I am watching something that should be beyond classic being ruined right in front of my eyes.....It's like seeing an artists sketch of monumental proportions only to have it painted by child.....If I had the money I would buy out Fdev in a second and install a team of people that actually knows what they are doing. Who would you install in the Dream Team?

It isn't the dev team that's the problem it's their leadership.

The online stuff is a disaster.

Edit - I'd stick Julian Gollop in charge of the online galaxy. I've already had more hours in his remake of Chaos than I have in ED since beta, it only cost £15 and he had the decency to tell everyone it's early access and the decency to tell everyone what the plan is for it.

Well, not you, for one.
Ignorant... Is that your only input?? I would install Christopher Weaver who was responsible for Fallout and The Elder Scrolls. This Developer has a keen eye on detail and intervwoven story telling in open worlds.

I thought his comment was entirely appropriate given the ignorant nature of the original post :)
My thread is not ignorant. In the commercial world you either deliver on an opportunity or someone will come and take the ball off your hands... Fdev have not delivered.... the only thing left is wait and see if they can rescue... but after nerfing trading without first giving the tools to make something of it... I lost faith in their ability to do even that.

They should replace DB with Peter Molyneux.Because then we would know where it all went wrong.
hahahaha :) Peter Oh my Dayz! What a complete bafoon! DB is different in so much as his vision is not based upon total fantasy.... What has let Elite down is the Fdev team.

Ok, I'll play. The original LucasArts team who put together X-Wing and TIE Fighter. If you could replace the team responsible for missions and AI and have these guys then there's a good portion of the mission content and challenge sorted.

In fact that's worthy of a Kickstarter in itself to resurrect that franchise. They'd be superb as a tie-in to the new movies coming.

It's ignorant because it's predicated upon the opinion that development is fundamentally broken. All you have is an opinion. I'm enjoying the game, and I'm happy with the pace of development. Am i therefore objectively correct, just because I have an opinion?

The only difference for me between them is .... errr .... i'll get back to you on this one.

You join the forums on 05 feb 2015, and you've decided what the future course of ED and FDev should be? Clearly you're a genius level business strategist with a visionary clarity that the rest of us mortals cannot even hope to comprehend. Please feel free to poke off and design your own awesome game.
