Wouldnt it be nice if we could have a button to SELL ALL DATA that then segregates each into the following categories:

1) System Scans
2) Planet Scans
a) Total Types scans in categories (eg High Metal Contents, ELW, WW etc)
b) First Discovereds Total and listing
etc etc

Please? Makes life a little bit easier for us.

If only.
I think there may be some issue with how the system records exploration data, that causes problems.

Hopefully fdevs make this actually work so that people get more interested in exploring.
Maybe they can even add to the galactic map, tracers that show where you've been (away from the bubble)

Got to agree with that, only just passed Sag A and have nearly 1400 scans already - dreading trying to sell them all when I get back !!

EDSM has that already but you have to trilaterate the positions at key points. Currently you can upload all your old netlogs into EDSM and see all the points you have visited.

Yeah. Thats the listing i was talking about in 2a. Total firsts and list of firsts.

The point is we dont want to see it as we sell it. Its just a waste of time. We want to sell all and just see a summary and list of firsts after that.

So you're asking to throw 100,000 records at a database (each one needing to be an update or insert check) in a single transaction, while potentially 1,000s of other CMDRs are doing the same thing, and generate a convenient summary report of the outcome?
This is not a simple piece of coding - otherwise FD would have already done it.

When the Distant Worlds expedition arrives home, if FD can absorb that hit without the servers dying a horrible painful death, then they deserve an award, not being moaned at because people have to submit 20 systems at a time.

Well...no need of it being in real-time with instant response. make it an option. Either sell a page at a time with instant response, or sell in bulk with msg notification when it's done and which could be a few hours or even a couple of days depending on load.

Yeah, that could probably be made to work out.

I agree with some of the other posts that it would be nice to be able to have the ability to review where you've been on the Galaxy map.

Imagine if traders could only buy/sell 20 commodities at a time, or county hunters could only cash in 20 bounties at a time... Imagine the uproar, and how quickly a solution would be found...

I doubt we will all arrive back in the bubble at the same time, nevertheless, selling data is a real pain. At the very least you should be able to sell data at a terminal in a bar somewhere.
