FDEV Ignoring TheYamiks as a Core Creator, Your thoughts on the matter.

So a little thread about TheYamiks, the second biggest content creator for Elite yet was refused a Review copy/preview/Early pre alpha first look access(Edit from Review Key as it was incorrectly worded) as they where "limited" for their core creators.

What is your thoughts on the matter........

If this is in the wrong section, instead of being deleted can it be moved to the correct section.

Not surprised, considering his unbearable language use.
Being critical is all fine, but not like that, no thanks.

I don't rate this threads chances to be honest.

My opinion? Don't find myself able to listen to Yamiks even if he may make salient points. I don't like his shtick.

As for FDev it's their decision about who they want as part of the marketing campaign for their DLC.

Although I agree other content creators also use bad language however got in with a review key, also why wasnt this the statement they made to him which is weird.

Yeah, their reply was very cheesy indeed. Maybe just the brits trying to stay polite.

I dunno the full story, but didn't he refuse to join that content creators program? Or was he just never invited?

I think it may have been a better idea from a business point to explain adleast due to his language etc is the reason, their statement reply just seems lazy and vague unfortunately, either way its not good publicity, they may actually look worse for this than if they just gave him a key and let him go on like usual lol

I am unsure on this however I can also say 2 others who didn't join the program and are lower in tier on youtube etc than Yamiks where given a key.

As has been remarked elsewhere, he'll still review it, only now he has one more little excuse to be... critical. Daft decision on FDev's part if you ask me, but entirely within their rights.

I think it's awful.
Yes he swears like a docker, but his videos are really insightful, funny and have taught me a lot.
It's not as if this is a game for school kids, is it?
I bet the average player age for ED is up in the high forties and, barring a few weirdos, none of us would have a problem with Yamiks' fruity language.

Why would you give a key to someone whose only purpose in life is crapping all over your hard work? Obviously they'd never admit this openly, but the fact of the matter is, Yamiks does nothing but complain endlessly about everything he can get his grubby little fingers on, so giving him a key would never be a good idea.

If there were even the slightest possibility he might have a vaguely positive reaction this might be different, but this is Yamiks.

Frankly, he's dug this hole himself, and now he has to sit in it. Good riddance.

That is something companies like this will never learn. They employ entire dedicated PR departments and still manage to produce such publicity stunts...

I tried to watch some of his stuff but for me he's being offensive for the sake of it and not as a tool to review
I also can't see it will have any impact on FDev not giving him access, where as what kind of promotional message would it be to give him one? to me that would be endorsing his style
