Engineers FDev, please dev the Black Markets into something more

Dear FDev I humbly believe that the Black Markets could and should be further developed into something more than they are now.

In real life, BMs are a 2-way trading agreement of illegal and rare products, not as is currently the case of ED.

I personally believe that it would further enhance the depth of the game and I am also very sure that there are many players that have great ideas to take it to an all new level.

Pretty please with sugar on top.

I agree there's is a lot of potential in the Black Markets mechanism.
For example we should be able to buy illegal items there too.

It would also be cool if we had to go down to an obscure planetary station or an illegal asteroid base to find certain black markets.
I'd like black markets to be discoverable, and they should only be added to the starmap if you discovered them personally, got a black market tip off, or stuff like that.

I hope FD realizes the potential for more depth and gameplay and will eventually find the time to develop this part of the game together with Piracy.

Black markets are one of the few areas in the game that could take the RNG and actually turn it into something useful.

If I had my way, I would make the following changes to the BMs:

1) You must be friendly or allied with the local lawless faction to access them.

2) You can not only sell, but buy from them as well. The goods available would be where the RNG kicks in. There would be small quantities of rare good available (at a significant markup), as well as modules not obtainable via the normal outfitting menu (again, with a significant markup!). Both the commodities and modules would be available at random- no guarantees at an illegal black market, after all!

The RNG aspect of the black market would mean that randomly modded modules would be available as well. As a bonus, the player would also have a tiny percent chance of finding special PP modules, bypassing the need to pledge to a power to obtain them. Purchasing a PP module from the black market would have a downside, however: since you acquired it illegally (i.e., without the faction's permission), any PP-specific ships will attack you if they successfully scan you.

Making these two tiny changes to the way BMs work would, in my view, enrich the lives of those commanders who enjoy a walk on the more lawless side of playing.

Thou shalt play ALL game modes, before acquiring materials through Black Markets.

Just as thou shalt only carry passengers for the next month. :(

It would be really great to be able to buy rare Eng mat's and data from a black market.

Agree with the above suggestions; having to be at least cordial with the major faction would be okay, as long as getting cordial was not just another grind/grind/grind. Them having a base on an out of the way asteroid would be great. Have it on an asteroid, not a planet.
