FDEV - plese give us "Switch cockpit lights" option

As per the topic. Even my dad's car from the early 80s had that :D

Honestly though, it would be a great help for VR users and I think many non-VR users would love the feature as well.

One step further, a dimmer would be excellent. I used to think the devs have never bothered because they didn't want to charge for stuff like that, turns out they are selling fairy lights for cockpit/bridge interiors.

Yeah, even better.

It could sit right under "Interface Brightness" option in Functions panel :)

Nope, pilots worker's council considers that unsafe. In case you stand up with your soooooonish space legs, you might trip and hurt badly.

Gotta admit I have never had an issue, do hear the occasional cmdr complaining, perhaps it is an issue for people wearing glasses?

May be. I wear glasses and I had to turn HUD brightness to very low (3-4) to be comfortable in VR (Vive though, not Rift). I also find the cockpit lights disturbing at times.
