FDEV - Rumours in Codex - will we ever see them?

What happened to Rumours in Codex? We've not seen a single one of those since Codex was released and IIRC they were supposed to lead us to interesting findings... Are we ever going to see them or is this going to be another placeholder forever?

I'd love to get a satisfactory answer to this, not that I think we will. I had been thinking that DW2 was going to be where the introduced the rumours but nope. And here were are 7 months after the Codex was introduced and nothing.

Considering it's such a fundamental (and for a change truly exciting) part of the Codex, it's seriously asking to be filled with content.

At least some word on how FDev plans to populate and use it in the future would be neat to hear.

I would assume that one of this year's updates will include some new inert, shiny things for taking pictures in front of. Presumably those will show up as 'rumored' initially.

Agree here, this for me was one of the most interesting things about the codex when I first saw it.

Presumably the content which was to be Rumoured was to be part of the DLC which, you'll remember, was originally supposed to arrive at the same time as 3.3.

Well, that didn't happen. We won't be seeing that content till late 2020 (if all goes well). Are Frontier in the meantime going to divert resources from the development of the new DLC to provide us with content that can be the subject of Rumours before then? Who knows? But my guess is that Frontier want the new DLC, when it finally arrives, to make as big a bang as possible: they're not going to reduce the impact of any of its features by running minimum-effort - and it would be minimum-effort - precursors beforehand.
