Engineers FDev select random developer and let him play EVE, then fix Elite ;D.

Tens of player discuss problems like: solo/open, pvp, griefing, rebuy cost etc. The solution for you Frontier is to pick random developer, pay for his EVE account and than discuss with him how mentioned problems are solved in EVE... If you wont listen to the Elite players, just make your own RnD in EVE ;).

To sum up: give players tools to handle this problems as part of game mechanics instead of adding systems which limits game functionalities to protects player in some cases... It is much better to be saved (from griefer for example) by friend or by playing in solo or group where you are "always safe".

I would rather they play elite, in the actual game instead of the dev server.

Something I do with my developers is to load them about 80% of their time, and allow them to choose anything from the backlog to fill their remaining time. They fill it with little things that will make a difference.

That hasn't turned out too well so far, has it?

Because they are not having the same experience as us.
Insta Credits, any ship, teleportation, and I am not sure they even play in public Open

Until they have the same emotional attachment to their ships, credits and more importantly invested time, they will never understand WHY we moan, and if we are being reasonable.

Just watch the Devs in the Open Live Streams. The only Players who would be so blaze about it are the ones with a gazillion credits.

FDEV is practicing the splendid isolation policy, as is customary in Great Britain.
Just leave them enjoy their own game, they're making it for the CEO and a select few old fans.
You're paying for demos and trials, the big bucks went into PS4 development.

No thanks. I don't want the game like EVE thanks.

An impressive demonstration of that they do not play their game was during one of the Live sessions when a Elite dev got beaten up so brutally by overpowered Engineer FdLs that he couldnt even make it a few meters away from the station. He had NO idea of what playing OPEN meant since The Engineers got introduced and some people were able to boost their ships, some, the victims were not due to time restrictions and boringness hardcore boring thing boring. I think the rest of the game is also a riddle for Fdev. They seem to have no idea about how boring it gets after a couple of months. If you just play here and there you re not getting the full pic.

You wouldn't let a Bard fight the dragon. You wouldn't ask Shakespeare to build you a house. Or Poe to design the blueprint for a bridge. These are creative, artistic types, and while they can write you a play or a story, they cannot build the stage upon which to showcase it.

So why are FDev allowing flight engineers, to build a game? They did a GREAT job at the coldly logical part of designing and implementing a flight model. Truly amazing work, even if in their work yawing does take years.

But now they've turned the GAME over to these same logical, numbers driven people. And we get...grind sheets in space.

You need new blood. Creative types. People who can take these disparate and mostly terrible systems, and make a fun, engaging GAME out of them.

I get this recurrent nightmare where folks are trying to turn Elite Dangerous into Eve Online...
Wait... It's happening again, isn't it?

Only because.. apparently in EVE you have a purpose that as an impact , or is that 'apparently' Elite dangerous..lol
