I know the current trading system is going to go through some tweaks, but the latest patch pretty much killed trading. On top of that, it rendered all large trading ships useless. And the supply issues for low price Trit has killed the player economy in its infancy. To me it looks like the supply/demand numbers were pulled from a single player game, rather than a game shared by thousands of players. With a lack of in-game tools to check prices, we're left with the outside tools like EDDB, etc. And by the time a good route shows up there, it is run into the ground. Seems like trading has become a race at server reset, and with my login times I'm never going to benefit from that. And again, I realize there may be changes coming to correct some of this.
But what is the vision for trading in the game? It would help us to know what the game designers are trying to build. I really don't want trading to become a lucky to find then become a race. Are there any plans to make the player economy viable again? Is there anything to in the works to help the sidelined large trading ships?
