FDevs! You look here what!

I saluted him too (And my dad)... at my passing out parade many moons ago. He wasn't just my hero, he retired as a Wing Commander in 1952... my dad was still a serving Major in the Army :)

My family has been career military since 1648, my great grandfather who was originally in the Royal Scots Greys, rebadged to the Royal Flying Corps in 1915... both grandfathers were RAF during WWII. My Dad and me went back to Army...as did my son, who's a Sergeant in the 2nd Parachute regiment...
I salut you and your whole family, and here is some rep aswell old chap;)

Just WOW.
What was your unit, Moley?

Scotlands only heavy Cavalry Regiment, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, initially...they were originally The Royal Scots Greys, my family regiment, until they were amalgamated with some Welsh donkey wallopers in 1971. (Sorry 3rd Caribiniers, couldn't resist it) :D

Don't worry I'm sure they'd take it from a haggis-eating Bird Catcher like you. Or do you prefer 'Bubbly Jock'?!
I'd have done a tongue-pokey emoji, but this forum today SUX.
More to the point, I hate militarism. No, the need for militarism, I'm sorry for what you had to do in the stead of us (clever, he he) cowards.
Thank You, Moley. And, though a civie, I too salute you and your family. I'll always be here (and on Live) for you.

Nice Mole my grandad was in the black watch and when the war finished he rescued a bunch of german radio operators who had been giving the allies info and ending up marrying one of them .
So growing up I heard the horrors of world war 2 from both sides .

your a donkey walloper? I would have put you down as KOSB for some reason , can't give you a logical one I'm afraid

rep mole for your grandad serving and also flying Typhoons which is definitely the ww2 equivalent of the vulture.

please fdev can we have real world camo paint jobs for all ships and also sharks/warthog nose art

My Great Uncle Jim flew Hurricanes when he was in the RAF (85 Squadron), during the period when they went from twin bladed propellers to triple bladed ones. I agree that military camouflage schemes would be nice. However, I would also like the engine noise (or rather, the weird extra noise this aeroplane made at high throttle) added to a large ship in ED;

Warning. These can be LOUD!

EDIT; reference my Uncle Jim; there was a book published (from a series known as the "At War" series) called "Fighter Squadron At War". He appears in several photographs, but he did not make it to 'The Battle of Britain' die to being seriously injured and losing his A1 flying status (although he survived WWII and lived until 1974).
