FDL or Clipper built in fuel scoop

What happened?
One of these ships were supposed to ship with a built-in fuel scoop, does anyone remember which one, and why was it excluded?

Why waste the slot space on a device you cannot remove?

Wouldn't you rather have an item that you can choose not to fit (as it is with every ship in the game)?

Pretty sure OP means FDL or Clipper have "built in" scoops as in pre loaded in the internals, like the Basic Discover Scanner all ships come with now.

Yes, one of them was to have it built in. Been trying to find it, god i hate the search function on this site.
Found it, it was part of the wiki's 1984 handbook description of the FDL.
So nevermind, I'm nuts.

You used to get slightly different base builds at different stations - is that still the case?
