Hi all

Looking at FDL for Thargoid hunting, seen a guy solo a Cyclops with one and wanted to know if this is really viable option?

Also what is good at ripping there shields down? Does a convential beam laser do job because I was thinking:

Huge Beam laser

4X AX middle rack which seem to be only thing that really hurts them.

You should consider Guardian weapons.

They are the premier AX gear.

FDL is like a good clown shoe... it's a clown shoe. It's like one better than the Vulture when it comes to optional compartments.

I do see a lot of gankers equipping the FDL with plasma accelerators on all five hard points and then trying to "one shot" other commanders. Apparently that's all it's good for...

Watched a video the other day with an FDL taking out a Krait. The Krait just couldn't turn as well as the FDL and barely got a shot in. I like the look of the Krait, but I suppose in a dogfight manoeuvrability is what wins. Doesn't matter what weapons you have if you can't hit the other guy.

Having said that, a tooled up Krait taking on an FDL at range would probably be a different story, especially if using several guided weapons or turrets and fighters.

If you don't mind doing a little grinding, the weapons you want for Thargoid hunting right now are the Guardian Rails or Plasmas.

The krait does have the advantage of being able to place many turreted weapons unlke the fdl which only has one decent turret possition underneath. Thats just my opinion tho.

LMFAO clown shoe I use the fer de Lance I just got it I got all A rated shield boosters on it and all pulse guns and I don't even use chaff and no one takes out my shield even when I'm in a 1v4 in a bounty hunt I shred everything including federal Corvettet's and anaconda's and they almost rip my shield off but unless I'm fighting 2 pro anaconda's they always die to me an imperial eagle gets shredded in 10 secs full pips on weapons and the pulse guns auto track shred through shields even when they reboot shields my weapons break the shields within 2 secs of reactivation then they try to run but I take 6 health points per 1sec don't ever talk about the fdl like that it would shred 4 thargoid interceptors in a means of a few mins Fdl in my opinion is the best ship for any combat purpose easy money bounty hunting make 10 mill in just around 40 mins of hunting in hazardous zones hell even federal authorities are scared of Fdl even when I'm teaming with federal authorities they will have like a few anaconda's and I'm in my Fdl and another person has an Fdl with a bounty of 200k Cr they still screw the federal authorities up and drain my shields within mins in a battle the fdl is really good I'm on PS4 I got a PC and I will soon get it on PC but I will start from the side winder I will restart everything on the PC why because I love elite dangerous and it feels good buying an Fdl after working 4 days of bounty hunting in a viper mk 3 and another thing about the fdl it almost has the same maneuverability as an eagle it has the best maneuverability for a big ship put all pips in eng and you will run circles around any ship anaconda's cry when an Fdl shows up because they can almost never get guns on Fdl because it's like turbo the snail

While the FDL isn't a bad ship there are much much better options for fighting bugs. If you've never fought them before you will find yourself at the rebuy screen quite quickly fighting bugs in an FDL.

Just because you saw someone do it it does not mean it's the best for it
