Hi there, new video ! I really had fun sculpting this snake with the amazing planet coaster's terra forming tools, so I wanted to share it with you guys.
It is very pleasant to see that we can build so complex and detailed sculptures with those tools, however, I have a few concerns and here they are :
- the camera is the first big struggle that I had to deal with. Sometimes, whend it comes to sculpt in tiny areas ( for example in this video behind the tongue or inside the tail ) the camera get stucked or does not respond correctly.
- second big struggle : the lighting. In planet coaster the lighting is so beautiful and the different times of the day are really nice and good looking. But when it comes to sculpt in the dark sides, the shadow parts, you can't really see what you are sculpting. Maybe a more flat lighting that we could turn on when we want could be usefull the be able tu sculpt correctly every angles.
- the smooth tool : basically, it does not really smooth anything. So it's sometimes hard to have nice smooth shapes. Getting rid of the wobbly effect takes sometimes a very long time.
- for now the terrain tool is very efficient to create organic shapes, but you can't easely create square or geometric shapes ( I know it sound retro and it reminds us RCT3 and older games ) but sometimes you want to create square ornament lakes.
But let's be honest, the tools as they are today are already amazing.
