Feature or Bug ? Music when all are muted

I'm near Thetis mega ship (don't ask me why)
I went away from it to avoid ship noises
I'm in the planet gravity field (0.12G)
I cut all music, volume set to 0 or mute
Music is still around !

Help ! The noise !

Same. I am on a planet surface 6KLY outside the bubble, I go vertical and the symphony starts. It's just one instrument, but it's music and I have that muted. I don't need mood music.

I was trying to record "a log" audio in audacity and the music was interfering. ;) . I don't know if it's a bug or working as intended so I'm asking. As I have enabled music in the game and never tried to do that, I never paid attention.

Do you get the same music in different ships in the same situation?

The Hauler for example makes some quite musical noises at times.

I didn't use any other ship as I'm casually participating in current CG but I'll give a try when I go back "home"

Some audio settings control odd things in the game. As an example, I recently found that the ‘station announcer’ voice in the current main menu is actually controlled by… sound effects, not voice audio.

Can’t hurt to look around, but it might turn off other stuff you want enabled.

Sorry to bump an old thread but the amount of ambient "music" in the T-10 is deafening. It's attached to the sound effects, I guess space is so majestic that this symphony must keep playing. It's really off putting.

Even in camera mode where I am back behind the thrusters and hear the thruster noise the music is the same, so it's not coming from the cockpit.
