[Feature Request] Ability to toggle the blue radial navigation lines on the galactic map

I can't recall ever having found the blue navigation lines useful but they are a frequent annoyance and in densely populated areas they dominate the view. Can we have the option to toggle them off like map markers?

Agreed. Also, whilst we're at it, please can the orange "quarter arc" above all stars be removed? Seems *totally* superfluous and just clogs up the screen when you're trying to look at a shed load of stars.

You can turn off the blue radial lines already. (But a feature request to make it more *obvious* that you can do this is clearly a good idea, since you're not the first to ask)

- go to the route plotting tab
- click again on your selected mode

You'll still be in economic/fastest/neutron mode for route plots, but it won't show the links.

The orange quarter arc shows the stars which can be reached with your current jump range from the star you have selected - if you have a large jump range compared with your zoom level, then this will indeed be "all of them", but it's a very useful feature for people trying to plot through areas which are sparse compared with their range. A toggle for it would be useful to clean up the map a bit when wandering around the core, certainly.

For either mode just click the "radio button" again and it goes empty and the lines are no longer displayed (the mode is still active though).

Would be good to have fastest route without the blue lines though without having to toggle all the time.

It maintains the route setting even when you untoggle it, it only changes the route settings if you toggle a different setting, toggling it off without activating anything else leaves it all as it was.

Missing my point. I want to keep fastest route on while playing around in Galaxy map clicking on a number of locations. If I need to toggle the thing on and off for each system I click to ensure I have fastest route it's just plain annoying.

But you don't, as Varonica said....

I explained, you don't need to do that, it will remain as the last setting when you toggle lines off, it will remain with the last setting when you toggle the lines off. <- yes I know I wrote that twice, but I thought it was quite important.

If it is currently set as "fastest route" and you clear it to get rid of the blue lines, it remains on that setting, fastest route. It only changes if you click another setting, not if you clear it, it remains set as fastest route!

thanks for the input; I didn't know this

Fly out to Running Man Nebula and check out the lines there (lots and lots of lines). Plus, you can experience the Lilly Pad effect.
