Features to add Depth

Here's some highly requested features that add depth to the game:

- NPC multicrew
- Non-combat roles for multicrew
- Integrate CQC into the main game so players can do CQC while traveling.
- Guilds, guild chat, guild bank, guildhall.
- Territory control for player run guilds
- Player housing and base construction such as an outpost or player owned megaship
- Thargoids and other aliens with their own bases, stations to interact with in combat and peaceful ways.
- Improve Powerplay so that the system state changes and really reflects the system state.
- Missions for Wings
- Bigger ships that dock outside stations.
- Orrery system map
- Mouth animations for player characters.
- Space legs

I post it here so Frontier can take note.

Space legs and derelict ships, yea, its being done in SC, but hey, one can hope.

Meh. Seen one empty space ship, seen em all? ;)

I'd like to be able to rob surface bases .. and relieve them, of the big piles of gold cannisters, behind the barricades!!! But I'd also like to be able to cat burgle (in SRV) with a sequential data point take down, after bribing someone in the blackmarket for the codes, and map.

Player built and owned structures along with player controlled areas, in the manner of inviting players battling for the control, is all good and well until you realize game works with solo/open/private etc modes.. a serious problem unless you meant we were intended to build peacefuly :D

Besides, I don't think thats in developpers plans. Instead of such more specific features that define gameplay, that would need some constant upkeep and resources to watch over, aren't they trying to build the core game at this point?

PS: Spacelegs. spacelegs. Variations of low gravity, no gravity, high gravity envoirements depending on situation with spacelegs. Getting off my pilot chair and swearing profusely as Im helplessly floating away to the back of the insides of my ship like a helium baloon since I forgot to turn on my magnetic boots kind of spacelegs!
 
Agreed, guilds I am sorry just wouldn't feel very Elite...more like clash of clans. wings and friend groups is fine at the moment!

everything else seems alright though! CQC is pretty much dead anyway so yeah. what on earth are space legs??? I notice the Yaw animation doesn't work...I use pedals and nothing moves haha :D

Why do they always, always have to mention guilds and player-owned stations or controlled areas?

Because it would make the game far more immersive tbh.

I know a few guys on this forum are pretty anti anything but given the size of the galaxy in the game every taste could (and should) be catered for..

Yeah I agree there to a degree. bases like outposts would be nice. adding facilities and such to spend large amounts of credits.. but nothing too extreme either. like owning starports like so many have suggested and such, just not practical. we need to cater for both sides here. we need to keep Elite being Elite with a few extra aspects. :)

Everything has already been mentioned many times. Everything, except: the "Mouth animations for player characters" and the "Guilds".
- Given to how well, the developers, until now manage to animate a facial expressions, I'm sure the articulation will also be of high quality.

- About the guilds were also modest hints, as to what players would like to see in the game and again, this topic was touched the subject of the "guilds" only in passing.
It would be necessary to create a thread devoted to the question of guilds and their correct organization:
- Faction Quests for the guilds : for reputation, modules, access recipes and as a rent payment for territories of the inhabited bubble.
- In addition to the "guild bank" requires "guild account", which in "conventional units" noted the "percentage of personal involvement" and all the Guild members were distributed according to their contribution to the development of the Guild.
- "Task Board", with an automatic appeal in "personal" distribution of tasks regardless of the presence of the player of the game: the Guild leader left the order and went out of the game. Guild members receive personal messages when they enter the game.
* In "guild account" must be in scale with icons "preferred activities" - that is, what tasks a player wishes to perform. Select the desired icons, the player limits the scope of its activities and protects itself from "unnecessary tasks".
Clan recognition (award) "Guild leader" will be able to allocate much simpler having a "guild of account" statistics.

The theme of "Guilds" is not revealed fully yet, requires a separate discussion, where players could share ideas.

If you can MC to other ships I think telepresence to a CQC game is not too far a step.

Exact same impact, ie. your ship logs out whilst you are in CQC, you have a 15 sec timer if you are in combat, but then you can flick into CQC have a. Few round snacks then carry on with whatever you were doing afterwards.
 
I would like Anarchy systems to be more dangerous to travel in. Something where you actually sometimes question if you want to avoid it or risk it.
A haven for the scum of the galaxy.
