Horizons Fed rank promo - Not happening

I have been Federation Allied 100% and Rear Admiral 100% for days now and cannot seem to trigger the mission for rank progression.

I am currently docked at FW's HQ and nada.

I am however aligned to A. L-D.

Any ideas?

Are you also allied with a Federation-aligned local minor faction? Not sure if it's even relevant, but other than that, my guess is that it comes down to luck to see the progression mission pop up.

Keep doing mission in one place. If you create your own bubble of allied systems, getting rank-up missions is really easy and usually a matter of minutes.

I have stayed in my own bubble since starting. ( a year playing, I think) And I just recently got leftenant ( can't spell it) which is only the third rank ( I think) so military missions are few and far between. (My opinion)

Just went from Rear to Vice Admiral just last week. Apparently you have to keep doing missions in Fed space before the rank promotion mission pops up, even after you reach the 100% mark.

I even submitted a bug report but cancelled it after a day or so when the rank mission finally spawned.

Like so many other other things, it is shrouded in the fog of ED.

One of my friends has exactly the same problem in Empire. No rank and has progressed to 100% toward the first rank, allied to both Empire and local Empire aligned factions but no rank up mission has appeared for over 4 days now and he keeps doing more and more missions for those factions trying to trigger it.
