They do,for the whole 2 milliseconds (slight exaggeration) that it takes for the capacitor to drain, then they melt you like butter instead. :)

When I have it outfitted as such, hauling 500t of three Ps makes it a very nice mining rig. With 2 gimballed large beams and 2 gimballed small bursts, it handily defended against most PvE attackers. Wouldn't mind an A7 FSD slot though...

Even then, the conda hits harder because of the additional large hardpoint. The solution would be to make the two smalls into mediums or just stick an extra large one.

I'd rather they buff the Corvette and maybe increase the price by say 10% and take a couple of internals out so that it can do more attack damage than them Nerf the Conda
I'd rather see the two huge's get the attention rather than the smaller hardpoints. Its the only ship with multiple huge hardpoints. A buff would be fine but i don't really care i'd rather see the HUGE's take precedent.

The huges are getting attention, although short of outright buffing the stats of all the huge weapons by say 10-15% the Anaconda will be the king damage dealer

Because your modelling damage on a static target, the anaconda has the highest overall weaponry but only by 1 small, equally the corvette turns in 88% of the time, rolls faster etc, they both have the same distributor and they are both slow as sin in a straight line :p

They are basically even so I think king damage dealer is a bit of a stretch :p, they could certainly change the two smalls to mediums and it would edge just ahead of the conda in combat (which sounds acceptable to me) but it does have excellent performance already.

Over 600M spent on it, and it still doesn't feel like a ship made for battle.
It's like expensive oatmeal, everything feels "meh" on it.
It's slow, heats up like crazy, ok maneuverability, but not great, shields require SCBs and boosters, fire power doesn't shine either.
I know there are a lot here who will disagree, that's fine with me.
To me, there's not one battle aspect of this ship that shines.
I'll see how it fares with the new weapons.

Thing is I think they SHOULD buff huges by a small amount. I'm not really afraid of them. They're not very scary and they're not very impressive to use.

Dont forget the "in my opinion" much better hardpoint placement on the vette,

the 2 huge hardpoints, placed behind the cockpit makes for a much better placement (better aiming for me).
the 2 small hardpoints can be fittet with rails, they are so close to each other that i can get both on a eagle at the same time.
the 2 medium can gimbal both under and over the ship.
Only the large hardpoint is a bid bad in placement, but i guess i can use it for missiles when 2.1 is out.

I was flying Corvette since 1.5.

Loved the feel of the ship, it's look, handling, got used to tiny jump range and learned all of pros and cons (even participated in PvP and died once).

So, before making any suggestions i'd rather wait for 2.1 with new huge guns. Corvette has a perfect placement of huge hardpoints, I loved using 2 x large fixed beams there, they are perfect for sniping smaller ships and modules.

Overall, Corvette's firepower is not less than Anaconda's, i'd say they are on par. What makes me feel it has less power, the fact that some hardpoints (except huge ones) have bad placement and often dont fire in battle. Large Hardpoint placed right under nose and cannot fire on targets if target even slightly higher that ship's horizontal plane, so it often stays silent.

2 x medium hardpoints located quite far from each other, so you have to use gimballed weaponry here. But gimbals jitter a lot, and their damage is worse than fixed, making killing enemies further than 1.5 km much harder. 2 x Small hardpoints perfectly placed, but they lack firepower.

Putting 2 x mediums instead of small ones would help, but not much. If you could change hardpoints, i'd swap 2 x medium for 1 x Large and relocate 2 large hardpoints to where mediums used to be. And also relkcate small ones to the bottom of ship. This way we would have much better primarg firepower with bigger fire angles.

And i'm also concerned about armour... Whats the reason for such a small armour HP? 667 is really bad for Federation biggest ship! Unless Corvette's armour has some insane hjdden resistance stats, i see no reason for such a pity armour...

the corvette is fine...it is way better than the cutter, best ship in the game IMO. It's just hard to use, and most CMDRs who own a corvette sadly have neither the credits nor experience to make it work.
