Federal Corvette prices?

Cmdrs,

After a weekend of grind the "rear admiral" rank is almost upon me so what's roughly the credit damage of buying and fitting out?

I have roughly 950 million in the bank so will she bankrupt me?

You'll have more than enough. Mine cost about 450m, total. PVE only of course. The reactive armour costs around that on its own.

It’s gonna take most of it. Not sure why ppl say more than enough

prices per part are here: https://inara.cz/galaxy-outfitting/
ship and slots seen here: https://inara.cz/galaxy-shipyard/80/

My PvP outfit would be just over 600 million if I dropped the bulkheads, which don’t actually help that much since my modules would be dead long before the hull goes.

OP would still have ~400 million to play with for a PvE outfit that’s easily able to survive a PvP encounter.

Lhs 20 has a 15% discount and most of the modules you’d need to outfit it.

Thank you all for your comments cmdrs and that last 25% to "rear admiral" is going good so will be after a Corvette mid week I'd say.

Must say the ship kit makes it look even more menacing :)

when you know what you need to buy its enough. But when you start experimenting and engineering several modules you should have more.

When you reach 2000 - 3000 milion, i think its safe to say you are safe.

Cannot decide which ship is the most fun; Cutter or Corvette. Get the DD5 as soon as you can, so every attempt to interdict becomes a choice as to avoid or kill them for sport. I use mine to make high profit trade runs out of Shinrarta and Sol to finance my ship collecting addiction (21 ships with 1.2B available for the Chieftain when its released). I bought mine with 800M in the bank and the money from trading was used to upgrade modules, then engineer modules; speed, weapons then shields/amour. Have only had one rebuy--falling skimmer got me on a high-G planet. Usually run with 8shields but have run with 6shields to take advantage of 2x8 cargo capacity on occasion. Recommend buying as soon as you can--fun first, profits second, either way you will not regret having one available.

I loved mine when I had her. Out of the 3 she’s my 2nd favorite behind the cutter. It’s a fantastic ship and does it’s intended role absolutely amazingly. Unfortunately too I got to the point where it did it “too well”, same with the cutter and even the anaconda. Being in the end game portion of this game, I found that the big 3 were dominant in PVE and it made me actually want to go backwards and get back in the small and medium ships for a bit of challenge. You definitely won’t be disappointed!

Over on PS4, I spent about 800 million getting my Corvette to where I wamted it to be.

I also brought a Cutter and A-rated/top graded everything on it just to see how much was needed. 1.2 billion credits to do that, including purchase of the ship.

Currently feeling the same. The Vette is a beast but I kind of want a sidewinder again.
