Federal Eagle...

The Eagles were my favourite ship types, all the way from FE and FFE. So much so that I actually ground out Elite in FFE using an Eagle Mk 3 (or sometimes the Osprey X).

Yet I've always been a Federal fella, never liked the idea of slavery or the idea of one person being charge due to simply being born in the right family.

So, can we? Please? Just a slightly different model, slightly different flight characteristics, and maybe swap the weapon layout?

You mentioned FFE, so you should know this but the Eagle you buy now (the Eagle MkII) is the Federal Eagle, by Core Dynamics, designed and modified for the Federation. The old Eagle MkIII you flew (with those 'bars' on the wings) was the Imperial Eagle.

It is the 'independent' Eagle, the MkI, by Faulcon deLacy, is not in this game.

Ah well, fair enough then. To be fair, the Mk3 was vastly superior to the Mk2. So if that rings true now then that's just the way it's meant to be.

It's impossible to slow down in a courier! Way too fun at top speed! It's fun going through the mailslot at over 200ms !!

I'd like to see the inclusion of the DeLacy Eagle mk1, maybe sometime in 2016, as an alternate starting ship, comparable to the sidey. just the 2 small weapons underneath, class 2 internals all around, old school wing panels.

It's impossible to slow down in a courier! Way too fun at top speed! It's fun going through the mailslot at over 200ms !!

I'm sure the Imp Eagle will give similar thrills I may have to convert... the Imperial Cutter was mentioned in a few of the books. It was described as a direct replacement to the Anaconda, so the Imperials certainly are getting some good ships.
