Federal Grind.......is this right????

When our new alien overlords arrive and start attacking human worlds, they'll be giving the Corvette / Cutter away in boxes of cereal to any pilot who can pull a trigger.

I predict a CG that will temporarily remove the rank restrictions on the top ships for the top x% of participants. Same as when we all rushed to buy the Clipper a while back.

The salt from all the Rear Admirals would be tremendous.

Please take this comment as being of a friendly tone and not an attempt to be sarcastic:

Sothis/Ceos
If you are doing both of these things then maybe don't accuse the game of grind. It's you that have deliberately turned things into a grind. I have been playing casually since the game was released and it has never felt like a grind because I just look for fun things to do. Ranks etc come with time that way.

Fair enough if you want a Corvette and have decided nothing else on the path to get it is going to be fun and you need now - then yes, Sothis/Ceos and relogging are the grindy path you have forced upon yourself.

Now I would say that the reason for this path being a grind is that naval ranking is nothing more than placeholder right now - the devs have hinted at improvements to it being on their roadmap for some time and I would bet money on changes in 2.4.

EDIT:

Sorry didn't read your update, where I see you get all this. :)
