Ships Federal Gunship & Imperial Clipper engineers queried

o7 Dangerous commanders,
This year in the Inner Orion region of space is dangerous. I ask some Federal Engineers to design or share their designs on a Federal Gunship. Normally I would engineer my own. The Gunship will be used to hunt pirates in asteroid belts and be support for miners.

The second engineer needed is good with Imperial Clipper and has an engineering for combat rank up and collector of materials in anarchy systems.

If you have these dangerous engineering, please share and will send credits

I recently got a FAS for collecting black boxes or liberating political prisoners or diplomatic bags. However it turned out to be very good at killing pirates in any Res site and collecting the mats too.

This is my built of the FAS, feel free to use it, modify it or ignore. If you are planning to do lengthy pve pirate hunting or CZ sessions you may consider a bi-weave shield instead.

This is my build of the FGS for basically the same purpose but it can‘t stay on mission as long as the above ship. Maybe consider a mix between the two.

Armored powerplant+monstered
Dirty drives+drag
PD charge enhanced
Shield Gen 6c biweave reinforced+ fast charge plus 2resistant augmented boosters and 1 HD
1 point defence
Choose a 6a SCB or 6d fighter hanger
Weapons, basically anything works
I run 2 small high cap missile racks dumb or smart depending on mission,
4 medium plasma accelerators and a large corrosive MC. And as much armor as you can afford to stack. 2 MRP

I have a similar setup except with SCB or FB (depends on whether I am helping someone in a multi-crew team up).
I personally like Cannons, but not yet skilled to be very accurate with PAs, so mine has Gimbles. I made a bank of four (C2) Cannons (OC + HYS) and one (C3) Cannon (OC + OC) with a pair of Burst Lasers (Focused + OC). This may not be the most optimal setup with Multi-cannon dakka ship builds (IF, I did go all MC then I'd make them OC + Incendiary with the C1 with corrosive rounds to shred shields and hull equally.
 
I was a little bit underwhelmed with the all MC gunship. It's mediocre agility requires some weapons with high burst damage to offset its somewhat lower than average time on target. MC can definitely be part of a strong build but are a waste of a small hardpoint. Just my opinion though. Gunship has so many weapons combinations that are good, it's slap on whatever you like and go out guns blazing.
 
noob question, for a Federal Gunship to have more agility, can i eng power distributor for engines and get more agility?
Kind of. Better power distributor allows more frequent boosting. You get temporarily enhanced turn rate while boosting. Engineering it for engine focused is a waste though. You want charge enhanced. It's a class 7 distributor powering a class 6 thruster and lots of guns. You will get the most benefit from charge enhanced in a combat ship.
