Newcomer / Intro Federal Invite

Please help I was doing missions for the Federation and came upon rank of midshipman, and then I took a federation invite and since then I can not find any mission for the federation I was even SON there but nothing too please help thank you for your understanding

The Federal invite is just giving you a permit, nothing beyond that no matter what it said. The next mission will turn up when you have sufficient rep and have done enough for the Federation.
