After weeks stuck with endless 'Exbeur permit' missions, I finally got a different mission. Great! Promotion at last!

So I completed the mission, and got back... only to discover that now there is a new mission, offering a Vega permit that I already have :mad:

What now?

Lets just say mission system sucks donkey balls. My rank mission threw me into anarchy system to kill 3 pirates. Well this system doesnt have nav-point, no asteroid belts. So I have been hopping to USS for past 2hours and have found 2 pirates so far and 1 to go. Im having blast yay

why not just target pirates in supercruise and interdict them?

Stuck at Vega Permit to -.- No New Missions since Days.

- Relog many Times = No New Mission
- Fly to many Systems and Stations (All SOL, ALL VEGA etc.. that was in Permit) = No New Mission
- Test Solo, Private, Open = No New Mission
- Buy another Ships = No New Mission

Always "Blah Blah come to Vega" (You have alrdy this Permit)

It would appear that you don't need to do anything in the systems that you get a permit for. The Navy missions pop up after a few days wherever you are. I am now a lieutenant. Wasted loads of time in unprofitable systems until I figured that out.

Yeah... Ross 128 for me (and others before that) and stuck with that. I don't even need to accept those mission to get the permit - I think the last patch broke the system.

Again, the permits aren't mission related and you get the previous one offered because of a bug which meant some people missed their permit at the appropriate rank, keep traveling around / doing missions for your faction to get your next proper promo mission!

Well, the system is really messed up. Now I want to try with the Empire - as usual, the first mission is sourcing Personal Weapons. Except they aren't anywhere to be found. You reach a station listed as exporting them, only to find that there are none in stock - they are "imported from another system", where they are prohibited and there are none for sale.

I really hate capitalism.

Exact same thing happened to me - about 3 weeks ago! I've been stuck on a Vega loop ever since . . . I'm a Lt and Allied - I read on another thread that once you are allied you don't get any more missions? Not sure if this is true though . . . (although I haven't had one for ages ----)

I was allied for a while so no, whatever the problem is, it's not that.
