Federal Navy Mission for Rare Art

Directions for the mission are "Search Signal Sources in the XX system to find them." I've been tracking down every USS I can find, but so far nothing for the past 2 hours. I tricked out a vulture and have been having fun taking bounties, but so far I've not found the mission related cargo or have any idea how to. My search has been between the NAV beacon and a couple of planets. Now I've branched out to planet to planet in the orbits around the star. I had no luck using a search function on the forums.
Any suggestions? This is for a rank up to Midshipman. Thanks for any input you guys can give me. o7

scan the nav beacon (from normal space), or fire an advanced discovery scanner. it should give you a mission update with the location of the msision specific USS. e.g. it will tell you a body, and supercruising around that you#ll get the USS.

enjoy - it works like that with all "search USS in xxx system"-missions.

If you read the mission descriptions carefully, they will tell you exactly what you need to do or where you need to go. I know...up till this point its sorta been like ITunes Terms and Conditions, no one reads that sh*t...you just hit "I accept". Then you found out you just sold yourself into sex slavery or something.

So I now read everything carefully.
