Federal Police

Currently parked up at Aulin pad 14 as I write this, but as I entered the system just now, I got an 'interdiction warning' which turned out to be a federal police anaconda who wanted to do a scan of my ship.

Usually I just put all power to the engines and burn out of range and back into frameshift, but today I thought I would stop and see what happens. So I screeched to a stop (yes I know... technically impossible...) ... and we came nose to nose, I got a warning about a hostile scan being detected....... then.... nothing..... I am just trading at the moment, so my record is clean, however even so, I'd expect them to say something to indicate the situation is over...

but I got nothing, Nothing to say I am free to go, or they'd found something..... if I wanted a doughnut... nothing.

So are we just meant to let them scan , and if we don't have weapons fire hurriedly trying to make acquaintances with our bulkheads, we just take it we can go?

is this a element of the game that has not been finished yet perhaps?

:S

It's a bug.

Normally you get told to move along if the scan returns nothing of interest to them, sometimes though it forgets to tell you anything and you both sit there like lemons.

In the current build there's no penalty for disobeying the call to be scanned, so just boost away as you normally do. In later releases you'll get a black mark against you for doing so ;)
